Hey everybody. How's it goin'? Wow. I can't believe that it's already December. It felt like yesterday, arriving at the airport in August and being all excited about finally getting to see my host family! And now I'm really a member of the family and I'm living the normal everyday life with them. Isn't that crazy? I have a second family at the other end of the world. But that doesn't mean that the everyday life is boring. Actually I never was bored and I''ve never been really homesick yet. My year in the states is just awesome and I'm thankful for everything I can see and experience here! I've been treated so good by everyone and people here are super nice and helpful. I feel so comfortable in the little town of Arthur in Nebraska. :) I really loooove the high-school spirit and I enjoy the sports in school. It's amazing to see what I'm capable of. I like to wake up and know that I'm going to speak English all day long. I love that language and actually my English improved a lot in those 5 months. And as weird as it may sounds to you guys, I love to go to school here. Just because I enjoy the interesting periods and the funny teachers plus the awesome lunch times. :) So now it's December, and even tho people say Nebraska is veeeery cold in the winters, it hasn't even snown yet. At least the wind is cold. :b Not that I wish for the cold, but I'm dreaming of a white Christmas. :) By the way: I love the lights outside the houses of almost every American house and I like the decoration and stuff. :) I'm so excited for my first American Christmas. whoop whoop! I hope you guys all have a great before-X-mas-time and a wonderful holiday! Take care. Love, Leonie
